Last month Jaida joined Sara Evans and Kristen Kelly in Cleveland for WGAR's sold out "Guitars for Girls" benefit for breast cancer. It was a great night of fundraising for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, featuring a round robin of original songs, as well as a few classic covers that had everyone singing along. Sometimes picking that perfect cover song to incorporate in your show can be a tricky selection. It often takes several attempts to find that one special song that seems to fit just right. Jaida's cover of Bruce Springsteen's "I'm On Fire" was a crowd favorite and we think it's pretty safe to say that there's something about The Boss and his impeccable way of telling a story that seamlessly fits the glove here in country music. Without a doubt, country music has always been a welcoming place to celebrate the singer-songwriter, and this Thanksgiving we're joining Jaida in offering thanks for one of the very best -- Bruce Springsteen is an iconic staple in the American songbook and has created a place for all of our stories to live; page after page, song after song. He has taken us on a musical journey through struggles and triumphs, with always something to celebrate at every stop along the way. So thank you, Boss, for the gift of music: The gift that keeps on giving.
