Happy 2013, folks! It's a brand new year, and to celebrate, Jaida is releasing a brand new single -- set to impact country radio on February 18th. "Half Broke Horses" is the second single off her forthcoming debut album, I Am Jaida Dreyer, produced by Grammy award-winning producer Byron Gallimore (Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Sugarland). "Half Broke Horses" was co-written by Jaida along with Brad and Brett Warren and Lance Miller. It is an autobiographical flashback to Jaida's childhood, and explores personal challenges of loss and change. Backboned by an inspired equestrian metaphor, the song is both nostalgic and reminiscent for the talented horseback rider turned fearless musician.

"I'm not afraid to say this part of my life is difficult for me to write about, but I felt I had to be honest with both myself and the listener. If I left that hole out, it would take away from the legitimacy of the record. We all experience loss throughout our lives in different ways and this song allows the audience into a piece of my past that shaped my life forever."

Jaida has always said that this record is the closest thing she has to a cowboy and a horse song, and we're humbled by the home it has fittingly found among the courageous heartfelt stories told, shared, and celebrated in country music. Listen for it spinning in radio land now!
